Preparing Teachers to Transform the Classroom Experience

Plan for PLTW Core Training
Pltw Professional Development

Engaging. Reinvigorating. Empowering.

Our professional development is designed to create dynamic learning experiences for educators through powerful and flexible instructional support, as well as an ongoing professional community.

PLTW’s approach to professional development prepares educators to lead the engaging PLTW experience in their classrooms and also provides continuing support.

Engage in In-Depth Learning Experiences Through PLTW Core Training

PLTW Core Training immerses teachers in a hands-on, collaborative learning environment that challenges them to look at their classrooms in a new way. Teachers take on the role of a student, engage in in-depth exploration of PLTW coursework, and gain invaluable experience to take back to their classrooms.

PLTW Core Training helps teachers build skills and confidence around activity-, project-, and problem-based (APB) learning; prepares educators to become facilitators and coaches; and empowers them to bring learning to life through their PLTW program.

Unparalleled Classroom Support

PLTW provides teachers with comprehensive support and classroom resources.

Through the Community tool within myPLTW, teachers can connect and share experiences and expertise with fellow educators from across the nation who are teaching the same PLTW courses. Community has a number of exciting features teachers can use to network and stay engaged, including the ability to ask questions and comment, like, and bookmark posts. Additionally, teachers can share files and follow peers to stay connected and share insights, advice, and best practices.

We also offer a number of resources to help districts, schools, and teachers build strong PLTW programs including guidance on best practices, regional and national events, and more.

Additionally, our Solution Center provides support to help teachers focus their energy on what they do best: inspiring students.
