Partner with PLTW to Deliver College and Career Opportunities to Students
Through the PLTW College and University Partner program, we come together to provide students’ college and career success.
Why Partner with PLTW?
More than 12,400 schools offer PLTW to millions of students in all 50 states, D.C., and U.S. territories. Because of PLTW’s College and University Partners, we are better preparing PreK-12 students for college and career success.
A recent study shows PLTW students outperform their peers in school, are better prepared for post-secondary studies, and are more likely to consider STEM careers, compared to their non-PLTW peers. Students find PLTW programs relevant, inspiring, engaging, and foundational to their future success.
RIT was the first university to partner with PLTW, hosting teacher professional development, state wide conferences, undergraduate college credit and scholarships for over 25 years.
Over this timeframe, we have seen PLTW grow from a few high schools in upstate New York, to the nation’s leading provider of K-12 STEM curricula. This growth is a testament to the quality of their curricula and the profound impact it is having on students’ educational development.
We believe this partnership has provided RIT, the third largest producer of undergraduate STEM degrees among all private universities in the US, unique access to some of the best prepared, and motivated, high school graduates our nation has to offer.
