Connecting PreK-12 to College and Career
Partnering with PLTW
PLTW students are better prepared for post-secondary studies and more likely to consider careers in critical STEM fields than their non-PLTW peers, research has shown. More than 100 colleges and universities are members of The PLTW College and University Partner Network that actively recruits PLTW students.
Students also benefit from taking the PLTW End-of-Course Assessments. These assessments measure a balance of both subject-matter knowledge and mastery of in-demand, transportable skills, including problem solving, critical and creative thinking, collaboration, communication, and ethical reasoning. Performance on the PLTW Assessment may result in students receiving dual credit, scholarships, or admissions preferences at various higher education institutions, workforce certifications, and/or internship and other employment opportunities with industry partners.

Pre-Service Teacher Opportunities
The PLTW Launch Pre-Service Program offers the opportunity for colleges and universities to provide PLTW Launch Classroom Teacher Training (CTT) to pre-service teachers as part of their undergraduate curriculum.
Participants engage in in-depth exploration of PLTW coursework, build skills and confidence around our activity-, project-, problem-based (APB) instructional approach, and gain invaluable experience to apply directly to the classroom upon graduation. Pre-service students earn their Launch credential and enter the workforce ready to implement PLTW for grades PreK-5.
