Generational Expert Matt Beaudreau is Keynote Speaker

INDIANAPOLIS – Project Lead The Way (PLTW) today announced Matt Beaudreau as a keynote speaker at PLTW Summit 2017, where he will talk about research-based practices to engage K-12 students in their learning and address topics including communicating, collaborating and problem-solving with people from different generations.

Beaudreau is an expert from The Center for Generational Kinetics, which is the leader in generational research and solutions, especially with Millennials (Gen Y) and Gen Z. Beaudreau has experience as a teacher, school administrator, adjunct professor of education and corporate trainer of the year at Stanford University.

“In order to prepare our students to thrive in an evolving world, we must understand how to best engage, excite and empower them,” said Vince Bertram, PLTW president and CEO. “As a leading expert in generational kinetics, Matt brings a special insight on how people from different generations communicate and collaborate. We look forward to partnering with Matt to provide our PLTW Summit 2017 guests with tools and understanding to work together to solve problems in our communities.”

PLTW Summit 2017, which takes place Oct. 22-25 at the Orlando World Center Marriott, is the premier gathering for the PLTW network of individuals dedicated to preparing students with the in-demand knowledge and transportable skills they need to succeed in college and careers. More than 2,000 guests – including educators, students, and business and industry leaders – will discover best practices for delivering and supporting hands-on learning experiences through more than 250 interactive workshops and other exciting sessions.

"Educating our youth is a passion that has fueled my thoughts, and propelled my actions for many years,” Beaudreau said. “I've traveled the country to examine the best schools that our nation has to offer, traversed the globe into the educational powerhouses of other countries, and invaded great minds of the past and present, all in search of how to best lead every student on a Hero's Journey. I've also had the great fortune to grace many stages, speaking to thousands of innovative thought leaders across a myriad of industries. From Fortune 500's to those who protect us on a daily basis, it's been my pleasure to entertain, engage, and provide value to many critically-acclaimed revolutionaries.

“Every so often, though, there is an opportunity to work with a client who embodies the best of both of my worlds. Innovation and relevance, combined with a mission of facilitating unmatched educational experiences for our youth. Project Lead The Way defines this combination, and that's exactly why I am honored and beyond thrilled to be with you all at PLTW Summit 2017."

In addition to hearing from Beaudreau and other speakers, PLTW Summit 2017 attendees will have opportunities to earn continuing education units (CEUs) awarded by PLTW, an International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET) Accredited Provider. IACET CUEs are recognized by a wide range of organizations including several state departments of education and school districts.
