PLTW’s distance learning support will consist of multiple tools that can be used to best meet the individual needs of each community. These tools will include but are not limited to, webinars, office hours, and embedded distance learning alternatives directly within the curriculum.

PLTW will begin releasing PLTW’s distance learning support starting in July. This work includes resources such as webinars, office hours, increased teacher guidance, and embedded distance learning enhancements to our curriculum.

PLTW is working quickly to develop enhancements to the existing curriculum for fall 2020 and will release them on a rolling basis. We will share the release schedule soon to facilitate planning for the 2020-21 school year.

PLTW will continue serving students and teachers wherever learning takes place, and we will be sponsoring access to our distance learning support to all active programs for the 2020-21 school year.

PLTW is making access to PLTW’s distance learning support as simple as possible for both educators and students. For the 2020-21 school year, the suite of resources will be available to all active programs through their participation fee. More details coming soon.

PLTW is designing distance learning enhancements to continue the hands-on experience but limit materials to those that are already part of the program kits and are safe and feasible to transport and use at home. With our support, we aim to enable transitions so that students can get the in-classroom experience when possible and then pivot to distance learning when needed.
