INDIANAPOLIS, IN – Project Lead The Way (PLTW) announced today the opening of grant applications for the 2026–27 school year, aimed at enhancing PreK–12 STEM and CTE programs across the United States. Schools interested in implementing or expanding PLTW programs in Computer Science, Engineering, Gateway, and Launch are encouraged to apply. The fall application deadlines are Nov. 7 and Dec. 5, 2025.

PLTW, a nationwide nonprofit organization, has been preparing students for careers, college and lifelong success for over 25 years through hands-on, project-based learning connected to career and technical education. This grant funding can assist with participation fees, professional development for educators, and the acquisition of necessary equipment and supplies to start and support PLTW programs.

PLTW has awarded more than 12,000 grants totaling $134 million to schools nationwide. These grants have been made possible through generous support from partnerships with industry leaders spanning sectors such as engineering, advanced manufacturing, and a wide range of community organizations committed to education and workforce development. PLTW’s industry-rooted partnerships help to further advance meaningful learning experiences while preparing students with transferable skills needed for an evolving workforce.

“Equipping students with the resources to advance their education and prepare for future careers is our most important work at PLTW,” said Katie Minihan, PLTW Executive Vice President and Chief Impact Officer. “Grant opportunities through our industry and philanthropic partners enable school districts to reach more students, expand access to critical learning experiences, and help set students up for success both in the classroom and in their future."

Schools only need one application per PLTW program, which will automatically match them with all eligible funding opportunities. To get started or find out more on eligibility, visit https://www.pltw.org/plan-for-pltw/investment/funding-grants/grant-opportunities
