AI for High School Students

This semester-long course immerses students in key elements of AI. Through interdisciplinary learning experiences, students build practical AI literacy skills and lay the foundation to move from consumer to creator. By the end of the course, students will have portfolio-ready dashboards, classifiers, and projects that demonstrate their ability to use AI responsibly and purposefully.

Transform how students understand and use AI with CSTA-approved learning modules that connect to AI Literacy Framework (EU/OECD) standards and fit seamlessly into any school’s tech stack.

 Why Should Students

Take Principles of AI?

  • Student readiness, not just tool use: Bridges the curriculum gap between "using ChatGPT" and building future-ready data, modeling, and ethics skills.
  • Policy-aligned and safe: Establishes consistent, responsible AI practices across classrooms.
  • Workforce and CTE relevance: Connects AI to in-demand careers across STEM, healthcare, and industry to provide clear pathway value.
  • Scalable and schedulable: Delivers a true semester sequence that standardizes quality across schools and staffing levels.

School Friendly,

Future Ready

  • Ready to implement: Equipment-light and doesn’t require specialized technology.
  • 40-hours of virtual PD: Confidence from day one (no computer science teaching experience required).
  • Semester-long course (~80 hours): Backed by industry, tested by teachers, and designed for both middle and high school.
  • Cross-curricular alignment: Integrates easily with biomedical science, engineering, and computer science programs as an AI course for STEM pathways.
