PLTW Program Recognition: Honoring Excellent PLTW Districts and Schools

Through PLTW, students learn to adapt and excel while also discovering their potential and the opportunities available to them. This transformative learning experience comes to life in the classroom thanks to the vision and dedication of teachers and administrators.

PLTW’s recognition program is designed to honor districts and schools committed to increasing student access, engagement, and achievement in their PLTW programs. We’re excited and privileged to recognize districts and schools that are empowering students to thrive in an evolving world and achieving exemplary results from their PLTW programs.

PLTW Distinguished District

The PLTW Distinguished District recognition is a one-year designation that emphasizes K-12 student engagement. To receive designation, a district must have 20 percent or more of the students in each grade, K-12, participating in a PLTW program during the 2018-19 school year or have each school within the district meet the individual distinguished program criteria.

For purposes of this recognition, “district” is defined as a unit for administration of a school system comprised of two or more individual schools.
