PLTW Directors Richard C. Liebich, CEO Chief Executive Officer Chairman, Board of Directors Through his post as chief executive officer of the Charitable Leadership Foundation (CLF), Richard Liebich serves as CEO and chairman of the Board of Directors for Project Lead The Way, Inc. CLF’s mission is to support programs and organizations that address problems in education, medical research, housing, and job skills and economic opportunities for low-income populations. CLF achieves its goals by providing grants, loans, and technical assistance to legally incorporated charitable organizations and projects in accordance with the foundation’s mission. It is in this capacity that Liebich serves both CLF and PLTW.
Vice Presidents
 Richard Blais Vice President for State & Corporate Relations Richard has developed the systems of leadership and support enabling Project Lead The Way to be adopted by 45 states as a successful model for improving academic performance of all secondary school students and developing the nation's workforce at the same time. Dick has been Director of Occupational Education, supervising the career and technological programs for a K-12 district of 10,000 students. He has also been a secondary school teacher and school administrator at the school and district levels. Dick has worked in the private sector in the publishing industry and in industry as an engineer.
 Niel Tebbano Vice President for Operations Niel oversees all operational functions for the organization, which includes school relations, marketing, sales and business plan management. He also collaborates on all significant matters of policy, strategy, curriculum, professional development and evaluation for the project. A public school educator for 32 years, Niel has been a teacher and a principal in both elementary school and high school settings, and served as an Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction in one of the first school districts in the PLTW Network. He has been with Project Lead The Way since 2001.
 Richard Grimsley Vice President for Programs Richard oversees all program functions for the organization, which include curriculum development and revision, professional development, the Virtual Academy, and university and strategic partnerships for engineering and biomedical sciences. Formerly associated with the Texas Education Agency, Richard joined Project Lead The Way, Inc., in 2001 after working 14 years in the Texas public education system. He previously served the organization as a Regional Director, Director of University Initiatives, and as the Associate Vice President.
Directors
 Patrick Leaveck Director for State and Corporate Relations Pat is Director for State and Corporate Relations, responsible for the Mid Western Region. He was a high school teacher and vocational center administrator for 30 years. While at the vocational center, he was responsible for school-to-work programs, youth apprenticeship, and the center’s pre-engineering and construction programs. He also served as a program facilitator and liaison with local colleges, and the Michigan Department of Education. In 1998, he became the Michigan State Leader for Project Lead The Way. In 2001, he assumed the duties of the Director of Western and Midwestern States for PLTW.
Judith is Director for State and Corporate Relations, responsible for the Western region. She began as a high school educator, going on to develop an innovative high school corporate internship program. Judith then entered the private sector, serving as VP for Communications for a small business, and through educational outreach efforts, discovered a passion for STEM education. She helped to form the Sacramento Project Lead The Way Regional Consortium before joining Project Lead The Way, Inc.
 Pamela Newberry Director Strategic Curriculum Initiatives Pam coordinates and assures quality in all Project Lead The Way strategic curriculum initiatives, including serving as a consultant, offering training, and overseeing the development of new curricula projects. An educator of national recognition, Pam brings her vision, knowledgeable perspectives, and organizational and interpersonal skills to the expanding role of the State and Corporate Relations Team. She has been with Project Lead The Way, Inc. since 2002.
 Tom White Director of Technology As Director of Operations and Technology, Tom will continue his responsibilities for technical planning, problem-solving and development associated with all PLTW instructional programming. In addition, he will provide oversight on a number of operational functions, including software and equipment projections and the related logistics of supply, assembly and delivery.
 Lisa Bobrischew Director of Product Sales Lisa is responsible for the oversight and control of all instructional materials and supplies sold to schools in support of all Project Lead The Way programs, including engineering and biomedical sciences. Having been a part of Project Lead The Way since 2001, Lisa has served the organization in various capacities and demonstrates a very high level of responsiveness to the needs of the schools in our network.
 Crickett Thomas-O'Dell Director of School Relations and Marketing Crickett is responsible for all aspects of school relations including oversight of the Project's school registration and review process, management of the network's database, website development and marketing initiatives. Her previous professional experiences include management responsibilities in both higher education and business venues, implementing organizational and managerial strategies to improve effectiveness and efficiency.
Previously with Purdue University College of Engineering and College of Education, Dr. Krueger serves PLTW as Director of Assessment and Evaluation. Joy provides leadership in all facets of program evaluation and facilitates the development of end-of-course examinations for the PLTW high school program. By design this position reports to the Vice President for Operations while also associating closely with the Vice President for Program and the Associate Vice President and others to offer an objective, balanced, and thorough approach to strategic review and reporting. In collaboration with the evaluation firm, TrueOutcomes, Inc. of York, Pennsylvania, Joy partners with state departments of education in the synthesis and analysis of PLTW student achievement, studies PLTW’s impact on college engineering programs and its effect in the nation’s engineering and technical workplace.
Laurie directs and coordinates Gateway Academies. These academies utilize Project Lead The Way curriculum and are taught by trained PLTW instructors. Gateway Academies recruit middle school students into the engineering pathway and link them to the Gateway To Technology program. This program is offered in partnership with the Society of Manufacturing Engineers Education Foundation. Laurie brings thirty years of public education and
administrative experience to the position and served
on the National Project Lead The Way Oversight Board
for four years.  Carolyn Helm Director of Program Quality Carolyn has worked with PLTW since 2000 and is most knowledgeable about the expectations of the engineering coursework. She is associated with the Southern Regional Education Board (SREB) and brings a deep background of experience from education, school leadership and industry to her responsibility.
Gail distinguished herself as an exemplary PLTW instructor in Florida before joining PLTW in 2002. She brings pragmatic understanding of the teaching and learning dynamic to her work with schools which benefits both teachers and students alike.
Kenneth is also a school improvement consultant for SREB and brings that strong background to his work with urban schools. Kenneth works with schools in large urban areas to assist them with challenges they face with implementation and program maintenance. A former high school science teacher, Kenneth understands high expectation teaching and learning in the urban setting.
 Carolyn Malstrom Director of Curriculum for Biomedical Sciences Working closely with the Vice President for Programs, Carolyn serves an integral role in the development of curriculum for the Biomedical Sciences program, assuring rigor, relevance, and overall quality. She directs the activities of the Associate Directors and consultants and identifies exemplary instructional practices in problem-solving and project and problem-based learning. She holds a Ph.D. in Molecular Cell Biology and taught advanced placement biology, standard biology, and biotechnology at Patapsco High School, Baltimore County Public Schools in Maryland.
 Robert Dorn Director of University Initiatives As Director of University Initiatives, Bob provides leadership in the development of university and college partnerships and facilitates the Summer Training Institute, counselor conferences, and ongoing professional development. In addition Bob collaborates with our Project Lead The Way Pre-service university partners. He brings over thirty years of education experience to the organization, serving as a key facilitator in numerous curriculum and standards development and alignment initiatives in Pennsylvania.
 Teresa Phillips Director of Master Teachers Working closely with Affiliate University and College Directors and the Director of University Initiatives, Teresa oversees all facets of Master Teacher selection, assignments, professional development and evaluation, as PLTW continues its dramatic growth. Teresa previously served as an Associate Director of Curriculum and Professional Development and as a classroom teacher for Project Lead The Way, Inc.
 C.J. Amarosa Director of Virtual Learning Solutions Working closely with the Senior Associate Directors of Curriculum for Engineering and Biomedical Sciences and the Vice President for Programs, C.J. works on the delivery mechanisms for the Project Lead The Way, Inc. Virtual Academy and the production of the Virtual Academy lessons.
 Sam Cox Director of Curriculum for Engineering Working closely with the Vice President for Programs, Sam serves an integral role in the development of curriculum and Virtual Academy lessons for the Engineering program, assuring rigor, relevance, and overall quality. He directs the activities of the Associate Directors and consultants and identifies exemplary instructional practices in problem-solving and project and problem-based learning. Prior to joining Project Lead The Way, Inc., Sam was a technology education teacher in Indiana and a master teacher for Project Lead The Way, Inc. He brings a wealth of practical experiences and has been recognized for his professional achievements within and outside the classroom.
Senior Associate Directors
 Charlotte Sanders Senior Associate Director of Curriculum for Engineering Working closely with the Vice President for Programs, Charlotte serves an integral role in the development of curriculum and Virtual Academy lessons for the Engineering program, assuring rigor, relevance, and overall quality. She directs the activities of the Associate Directors and consultants and identifies exemplary instructional practices in problem-solving and project and problem-based learning. Prior to joining Project Lead The Way, Inc., Charlotte was an author for the Biotechnical Engineering curriculum. She is also a former Oklahoma classroom teacher and a master teacher for Project Lead The Way, Inc.
Associate Directors
 B.J. Hirsch Associate Director of Curriculum for Engineering Working closely with the Senior Associate Directors of Curriculum for Engineering and the Vice President for Programs, B.J. serves an integral role in the development of curriculum and Virtual Academy lessons for the Engineering program, assuring rigor, relevance, and overall quality. B.J. joined Project Lead The Way, Inc., from Cabot High School in Cabot, AR. As a classroom teacher she taught high school mathematics, computer literacy and engineering courses. She has taught hundreds of technology workshops for teachers in Arkansas and has been a master teacher for Introduction to Engineering Design™.
 Wes Terrell Associate Director of Curriculum for Engineering Working closely with the Senior Associate Directors of Curriculum for Engineering and the Vice President for Programs, Wes serves an integral role in the development of curriculum and Virtual Academy lessons for the Engineering program, assuring rigor, relevance, and overall quality. Previously, Wes taught Project Lead The Way curriculum in Indiana classrooms and was a master teacher for Principles of Engineering™. Wes has been recognized for exemplary practice in the classroom.
 Stephanie Poll Associate Director of Curriculum for Biomedical Sciences Working closely with the Director of Curriculum for Biomedical Sciences and the Vice President for Programs, Stephanie brings her enthusiasm, experience and knowledge to the development team for the Biomedical Sciences curriculum. Stephanie most recently worked to revise and implement the Biotechnology curriculum for the Career Academies program in the Howard County Public School System, Ellicott City, Maryland. She has also taught chemistry, biology, and anatomy & physiology and has received national recognition for high school curriculum she developed in the field of epidemiology. Stephanie has been involved with PLTW since 2005, serving as both a writer and as a lead teacher for the Principles of Biomedical Sciences™ course.
