Computer Science Principles
Throughout the new experience, students learn the fundamentals of coding, data processing, data security, and task automation, while learning to contribute to an inclusive, safe, and ethical computing culture. The course promotes computational thinking and coding fundamentals and introduces computational tools that foster creativity. This experience aligns with the College Board’s new AP Computer Science Principles exam requirements, effective 2020-21.
Computer Science A
With Computer Science A, students cultivate their understanding of coding through analyzing, writing, and testing code as they explore concepts like modularity, variables, and control structures. This new experience provides further alignment across the PLTW Computer Science program and maximizes the student and teacher experience. The course also aligns to the new College Board Computer Science A framework.
