On the Road with Vince | PLTW

After an exciting several weeks traveling across the country for PLTW Conferences, events, and meetings with key stakeholders, Vince stayed closer to PLTW’s Indianapolis office last week, taking part in several important events.

  • “Achieve More Indiana: Preparing Today’s Students for Tomorrow’s Workforce”: Sunday evening’s Indiana PLTW Conference Panel was a huge success, despite the severe weather that rolled through the Indianapolis area. Over 150 attendees heard from Rob Smith, senior director of corporate responsibility at Eli Lilly and president of the Eli Lilly and Company Foundation; Mark Levett, VP of corporate responsibility and community relations for Cummins and CEO of the Cummins Foundation; Dr. Charles Bantz, IUPUI Chancellor; Reginald McGregor, manager for engineering employee development at Rolls-Royce Corporation; and Vince on the importance of preparing today’s students for the workforce of tomorrow. The panel was a tremendous success, and we thank all of those who attended the discussion!
  • On Wednesday, Vince facilitated a roundtable discussion with key business, economic development, education, and philanthropic leaders to discuss ways in which all parties can create shared value for PLTW, giving more students access to high-quality STEM education.

This week is a great opportunity for Vince and all of us at PLTW to prepare for a busy December, and also be thankful for the many blessings we share. We wish everyone a very Happy Thanksgiving.
