As Chief Customer Officer, Dorothy drives the organization’s customer-centric values and customer success initiatives. She is responsible for communications, marketing, events, network development, and training operations. Prior to this role, Dorothy served as PLTW’s Chief Operations Officer overseeing the successful delivery of PLTW programs and services to students, teachers, and schools and drove the strategic change efforts.
Dorothy believes in the power of nonprofit and business coming together to solve the world’s toughest challenges. Her early career included time in both sectors – nonprofit work in Nairobi, Kenya, and finance industry roles in New York. After business school, Dorothy joined Deloitte Consulting where she was a manager specializing in supply chain and manufacturing operations with aerospace and defense and life sciences companies. She was also the lead and author on a series of World Economic Forum reports on manufacturing competitiveness and talent development.
Dorothy earned an MBA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill’s Kenan-Flagler Business School and a BA in English from Furman University in Greenville, South Carolina.
