Eastern Michigan University

The College of Technology at Eastern Michigan University is dedicated to cultivating a learning community dedicated to learning, research, and public engagement and is committed to excellence in technology programs. The College also has programs that meet accreditation guidelines of the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education, among others. Growing from industrial education-related programs, the College was established in 1980, and offers educational and professional programs at both the undergraduate and graduate level. Most recently, the College has established a doctoral program designed to serve education, business, and industry. Some of the College programs include Network and Information Technology Administration, Electronic Engineering Technology, Computer Engineering Technology, Construction Management, Industrial Distribution, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Technology, Manufacturing Engineering Technology, Applied Technology, Computer-Aided Design, Pre-Architecture, Interior Design, Technology Education, Technology Management, Legal Assisting, Aviation Flight Technology, Aviation Management Technology, Hotel and Restaurant Management, and Communications Technology.

Eastern Michigan University became a PLTW National Affiliate Training Center in 2005.

College Credit For Summer Training

Teachers may receive EMU graduate credit for all courses in the PLTW program by meeting the appropriate requirements.

College Credit For High School Students

Since EMU has only recently become a PLTW affiliate, the articulation agreements for college credit for high school students has not been established. However, the faculty and staff of the EMU PLTW National Affiliate Training Center are dedicated to making college credit for high school students an important part of the program.
