Weber State University  Weber State University is a regional undergraduate institution of 18,000 students located in Ogden, Utah, about forty miles north of Salt Lake City, home of the 2002 Winter Olympics. The university has over 200 degree programs and offers associate, bachelors and masters degrees. The College of Applied Science and Technology at Weber State prides itself on offering practical, hands-on applied degrees supported by a strong theoretical base. The College has over 2,500 majors and includes the disciplines of Construction Management Technology, Computer Engineering Technology, Electronics Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Computer Science, and Telecommunications Administration. The faculty in the college have strong business and industry backgrounds and average over ten years of relevant industrial experience. Weber State University became a National Affiliate Training Center in 2002.

PLTW Summer Training Institute Summer Training Information Will Be Available Soon

College Credit For Summer Training: Teachers may receive WSU graduate credit for all courses in the PLTW program by meeting the appropriate requirements.

College Credit For High School Students: Secondary school students from PLTW-certified schools in the country may apply for WSU college credit for the following PLTW courses: IED - 3 semester credits POE - 2 semester credits DE - 4 semester credits To be awarded college credit, WSU requires these students to have a grade  of ”B” or better in the course, as well as having 90% attendance in the course. The school must also have a concurrent enrollment agreement in place with Weber State.  For schools outside the State of Utah, the tuition is $50 per credit hour.  WSU's academic departments evaluate the acceptability of these credits in specific programs in the same manner in which they evaluate and confer transfer credits
