University Of Maryland - Baltimore County
A dynamic research university known for its strong

University of Maryland – Baltimore County (UMBC) also offers a firm
undergraduate foundation in the arts, sciences and engineering. Although
a recent addition to the University of Maryland System, UMBC has
distinguished itself as an honors university.
UMBC’s engineering students are known and respected by industry and
government leaders as well as many of the nation’s top graduate

innovative academic programs and career experiences. The College of
Engineering and Information Technology at UMBC offers Bachelor of
Science degrees in Chemical/Biochemical Engineering, Mechanical
Engineering and Computer Engineering.

Inner Harbor and 30 minutes from Washington, D.C.

College Credit For High School Students:

Secondary school
students in the country may receive college credit for ENES101 at UMBC
by completing EDD and all courses leading up to it (POE, IED, DE, and a
technical elective) with an average of “B,” by being enrolled in a
PLTW-certified school, by meeting college enrollment requirements, and
by paying a designated tuition for each course. In addition, students
must complete a college credit exam or submit an appropriate portfolio.
