New Hampshire Technical Institute
Established by the General Court in 1961 to
“prepare qualified high school graduates as technicians who may serve as
assistants to professionally trained personnel,” New Hampshire Technical
Institute in Concord serves the entire State of New Hampshire. It is the
largest public, two-year institution in New Hampshire.
The Institute now has twenty-nine associate degree programs, two diploma
programs and twenty certificate programs. In the fields of Computer and
Engineering Technologies, NHTI offers the following associate degree
programs: Architectural Engineering Technology, Broadband Networking and
Communications Technology, Computer Engineering Technology,
Manufacturing Engineering Technology and Mechanical Engineering
Technology.
New Hampshire Technical Institute became a PLTW National
Affiliate Training Center in 2001.

PLTW Summer Training Institute
NOTE: Teachers from NH, MA, CT.
If you are from one of the three coalition states (NH,MA,CT),
you must attend training in your state or if the course in not offered
one of the other New England Training Institutes:
New Hampshire Technical Institute, University of New Haven, Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
Courses and Schedules
You may attend a different site under the following conditions:
1) If and only if the course is not offered in the coalition states
2) You present a valid circumstance you can not attend. (Must be approved by the
local affiliate director).

College Credit For Summer Training:

College Credit For High School Students:

Secondary students who have
taken PLTW courses and who have a “B” average in those courses have two
options for receiving college credit at New Hampshire Technical
Institute. First, an articulation agreement is in place that allows up
to six (6) credits (IED and POE or CIM) for Mechanical/Manufacturing
Engineering Technology majors, and three (3) credits (DE) for Electrical
Engineering Technology majors. The second option at all campuses of the
New Hampshire Community Technical College System is the Running Start
program. This program allows students to earn elective college credits
for selected courses taken during their high school career. With this
option, students can earn up to fifteen elective credits (15) for PLTW
coursework (IED, POE, DE, EDD, CIM).
