What are the four levels of a sample implementation schedule?

Level 1: Awareness (1st Semester)

  • Has read a copy of the School/PLTW written agreement concerning the Partnership Team.
  • Has received an email from PLTW State Leader concerning the requirement of having a Partnership Team in place and his/her willingness to assist in the process.
  • Has received a copy of the Forming a Partnership Team video/DVD from PLTW or requested it from the PLTW website.
  • Has downloaded ideas on PT from the PLTW website.

Level 2: Initial Development (2nd semester)

  • Has responded to the PLTW State Leader indicating an awareness of the objective, receipt of the video, and the information from the website.
  • Has indicated a start in implementing the objective, such as,
  • "Has surveyed classes for parents who are engineers…."
  • "Has placed an article in the school newspaper requesting interest…."
  • "Has spoken with an area engineer about participating…."

Level 3: Initial Implementation (3rd Semester)

  • Has held an informal or formal first meeting with interested members.
  • Has shown the video to the group to spark interest.
  • Has had the PT review PLTW material/program or some other aspect of program.
  • Has invited a parent to speak to PLTW class concerning engineering or some aspect of the PLTW course to increase involvement.

Level 4: Implementation (4th Semester)

  • Has established a schedule of meetings for year with objectives/goals/achievement.
  • Has become a functioning team looking to the future.
