Georgia Southern University, founded in 1906, is a member institution of the University System of Georgia. A residential campus of approximately 19,000
students, Georgia Southern is the largest, most comprehensive research university in the Coastal Southeast. The University offers 120 degree programs
at the baccalaureate, master's, and doctoral levels through its eight colleges: Business Administration, Education, Graduate Studies, Health and Human
Sciences, Information Technology, Liberal Arts and Social Sciences, Public Health, and Science and Technology.
The Engineering Transfer and Engineering Technology Programs are housed within the Allen E. Paulson College of Science and Technology at
Georgia Southern University. Through the Engineering Transfer Program, students complete the first two years of their course requirements at Georgia
Southern and complete the remaining at Georgia Institute of Technology.
Georgia Southern University became a PLTW Affiliate in 2006.
