PLTW Professional Development

PLTW Professional Development is a three-phase program designed to teach the content and pedagogical skills needed to instruct each PLTW course. It’s focused on proper preparation, in-depth training and continuing education.

The three phases of professional development are:

  • Phase 1: Readiness Training
  • Phase 2: Core Training
  • Phase 3: Ongoing Training

Through partnerships with more than 45 colleges and universities across the country, more than 10,500 teachers have attended two-week Core Training sessions for PLTW courses. Teachers of PLTW courses also have the opportunity to earn graduate credit for the training.
