To Members of the Project Lead The Way Partnership Network,

Project Lead The Way (PLTW), the country’s leading pre-engineering education program, and Autodesk, the world leader in software innovation and integration for business and education, are pleased to announce a new and dynamic partnership which will contribute significantly to nation’s Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) education priority. The new agreement makes PLTW the Autodesk K-12 education strategy and the immediate beneficiaries of the arrangement will be the schools, teachers, and students in the PLTW network.

The many benefits of the enhanced partnership will be announced over the next several months, but immediately schools will see more support and technical assistance for the Autodesk software integrations of the PLTW program. Specifically, beginning with the 2006-07 school year PLTW schools will lease their Autodesk ADA and Inventor software directly from their regional Autodesk reseller. Schools will be contacted directly by their regional Autodesk reseller this month to write their 2006-07 Autodesk software lease order. This includes schools which have already submitted purchase orders for this purpose to PLTW. Immediate shipping is guaranteed, and technical assistance and support for software installation and maintenance from the vast Autodesk network will be immediately available.

If your school is not contacted by an Autodesk reseller soon to complete this transaction please contact Project Lead The Way at info@pltw.org.

Many more innovative improvements and opportunities for schools, and their teachers and students, will be announced in the coming months. This exciting and dynamic enhanced partnership between PLTW and Autodesk will open a new era of STEM education progress for the nation’s schools.

Thank you for your patience and partnership. Best wishes for a dynamic school year.

Sincerely,

Niel Tebbano
Vice President of Operations
Project Lead The Way
