Cynthia “Crickett” Thomas-O’Dell and Joanne Hendrick will continue in their current roles with Project Lead The Way with new titles effective July 1, 2006. Crickett, Coordinator for School Relations for the Project since 2004, will be Director of School Relations and Marketing. She will continue to coordinate School Relations while also assuming greater responsibility for the coordination of the project’s marketing activities. This will include oversight of the initiative’s first national conference in March, 2007. Crickett came to Project Lead The Way following careers in business and higher education. She was a Key Account Executive Consultant for Cingular Wireless following experiences as Director of the Application Processing Center and Director of Membership Development & Marketing for the State University of New York (SUNY). Prior to that, she also served as Director of Admission for The Sage Colleges of Troy, NY. She has a Bachelor’s Degree from The Sage Colleges and is a Master’s Degree candidate in Public Administration and in Guidance and School Counseling from the same institution. “Crickett has demonstrated both professionalism and effectiveness in her responsibilities at Project Lead The Way,” noted Niel Tebbano, Vice President of Operations. “Her new title recognizes her proficiency and acknowledges her expanded role for the organization.” Joanne Hendrick came to Project Lead The Way in January 2006 as a secretary for senior management. She continues in those responsibilities with the new title of Executive Secretary. Her previous work experience has included responsibility as a Quality Management Data Analyst with ValueOptions, Inc. of Troy, New York and in office management with the General Electric Company and with Signature Flight Support, both of Albany, New York. “Joanne has added greatly to the responsiveness and efficiency of the PLTW office,” said Richard Grimsley, Associate Vice President for Program. “Her communication, computer and organizational skills add greatly to the support capacity of the program. The Executive Secretary title is acknowledgement of the confidential and detailed aspects of her responsibilities.”
