Dr. Anne Jones
Senior Vice President and Chief Program Officer
Dr. Anne Jones brings to PLTW a wealth of experience in working with schools, curriculum, instruction, assessment, data analysis, and professional development. Jones facilitates the continuous improvement of PLTW’s curriculum, professional development, and assessment.
Prior to joining PLTW, Jones was an education consultant supporting implementations of the Data Wise approach to school improvement in districts and schools. She also provided strategic planning and product development support to the Data Wise project at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. The Data Wise project is designed to help schools turn student assessment data into a tool to improve instruction and turn the act of data analysis into a process that improves the organization, function, and climate of schools. Jones also taught Physical Science and Earth Science at Wayland Middle School in Massachusetts where she served as head of the science department. She has published a number of works on topics such as team learning, teacher leadership, and science curriculum projects.
Jones received an EdD with a concentration in Administration, Planning, and Social Policy as well as an EdM with a concentration in Teaching and Curriculum from the Harvard Graduate School of Education. She also holds a BA in psychology from Dartmouth College.
