Penn State University
Founded in 1855, Penn State University has evolved into a world class learning community. The University serves the state and the nation in three principal ways: through instruction, research, and public service. Penn State's engineering and engineering technology programs offer an integrated and professionally oriented curriculum. The programs are focused on developing engineering graduates who are solidly grounded and technically broad in perspective and capabilities, effective in group operations and communication, versatile in their approach to problem solving and aware of the world.
