College Credit For Summer Training
Teachers may receive CU Graduate College Credit for all courses in the PLTW program by meeting requirements. Each course counts for 3
Engineering Education Masters-Level credit. Additional information is available on the affiliate website. $495 per course
College Credit For Students
Secondary school students from any PLTW-certified school may apply for University of Colorado transcripted ABET accredited
engineering college credit for three of the PLTW courses (IED, POE, and DE). The University of Colorado will also grant credit to students
outside of the state of Colorado. We require that all students receive at least an 85 percent average in the course and score 70 or above
on the college credit exam. For the students meeting these criteria, The University of Colorado awards semester credits for each of the courses,
as follows: POE: 3 credits, IED: 2 credits, DE: 2 credits. The cost of tuition is $300 per 2-credit course and $350 per 3 credit course. The
course will appear on a transcript as if the course were taken at UCCS. Many of these courses replace required courses in Computer, Electrical or
Mechanical Engineering. Contact Ms. Dawn House dhouse@eas.uccs.edu.
