Stevenson University
 Stevenson University founded in 1947, is a coeducational independent college located just outside of Baltimore, Maryland. The University’s degree programs, which include traditional bachelor's, accelerated bachelor’s, and master's degree programs, are carefully designed to integrate the liberal arts, sciences, and technology within the context of intentional career planning and preparation. Stevenson University, with an enrollment of approximately 3000 students, encourages and supports a learning atmosphere based on core values, knowledge of its students and the practicality of broadening students’ horizons for adapting to the changing world in which we live.
The School of Science at Stevenson University supports bachelor’s degree programs in Applied Mathematics, Biology, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Medical Technology and Nursing, as well as a master’s degree program in Forensic Science.
Stevenson University joined PLTW in 2007 as an affiliate university
for the new Biomedical Sciences program. The first Summer
Training Institute was offered in July 2007 to prepare
teachers to field test the first course in the new Biomedical
Sciences sequence: Principles of the Biomedical Sciences.

College Credit For Summer Training
Teachers who register for a Project Lead the Way Summer Training Institute (STI) course are eligible to register for the companion graduate course at Stevenson University. In addition to the 80 hours of STI classroom and laboratory instruction, teachers will complete a written capstone assignment and a comprehensive portfolio. Deadline for registration for the graduate course is June 30. Details are available on the University website: www.stevenson.edu (type "Project Lead The Way" in search box).
